Silk Road Teas are primarily bought in Fujian and Anhui Provinces that are well-known for their superior grades. These teas are sourced through local tea dealers, small markets and tea farms that we have purchased from over the years.

Production:
Green tea are known as "nonfermented" teas. The freshly picked leaves are dried and then heat treated to stop any oxidation. Green teas have a range of tastes from sweet, floral, buttery, nutty, to smoky, and grassy. The difference in taste is due to the handling and processing of leaves.

Green teas are known to prevent heart disease and osteoporosis, be a great source of antioxidants for combating cancer, and contain fluoride for healthy gums.

Brewing Instruction:
For the first steep: 1 generous tablespoon in fresh water temperature of 175 to 185 degrees for 1 to 2 minutes to taste its subtle sweetness. Keep the leaves dry and use them for subsequent infusions.
